Getting An Understanding Of The Massage Industry May Help You As You Contemplate This Career

You are interested in massage therapy, but have no clue how to go about turning your interest into a career. Like other hobbies that go from recreational to professional, there are schools that offer massage therapy certifications upon course completion. Here are some insights into what you would study and why schooling is recommended.

Someone interested in receiving a massage requires a certain level of trust from his or her masseuse. Because of this, many salons and individuals will not hire a masseuse who does not hold a license or certification. It Is Important To Weigh Options When Considering Athletic Scholarships For College

You have the dilemma all high school student athletes hope to consider. Several colleges are recruiting you, and all of them are offering you a full athletic scholarship. Each scholarship packet sounds ideal, but you don&t have a clue how to discern which one is best for you. Like any offer, you have to evaluate the pros and cons. Scholarship offers are no different. By weighing the options, and doing some deductive reasoning, you will narrow down your choices and ultimately accept the scholarship that is right for you.

When offered an athletic scholarship, you must evaluate all options carefully. The biggest draw to such an offer is the money. How much money does the scholarship packet provide? Although some schools offer more money than others, it should not be the deciding factor in accepting the scholarship. In short, don't necessarily jump at the offer that offers the most money. There may be restrictions attached.

How to Choose a Nursing School

So you've decided that nursing is your calling in life, and you can't wait to get started. One of the first steps to realizing your dream of becoming a registered nurse (RN) is choosing a nursing school. But this is not something you can or should do on an impulse. The decision requires careful consideration, thorough research, and proper planning. Here's how you can get started on choosing a nursing school that's right for you.

Choose a Program

There are so many nursing programs available these days that aspiring nurses are spoiled for choice. They can choose between a four-year Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, a two-year Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or a nursing diploma. Your choice of nursing program will depend on the nursing school you go to. A BSN degree is available at four-year colleges and universities, while an ADN nursing program is offered at junior or community colleges, and some four-year postsecondary institutions as well. Nursing diplomas are usually administered by hospitals, but such programs are fewer in number as compared to BSN and ADN nursing programs.

Different Emphases With Computer Science Degrees

If you think you can be the Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates of tomorrow, if the feats of people like Steve Jobs are what your dreams are made of, or if technology lights the kind of fire in your belly that few other things in life can, then you should probably consider enrolling in a computer science degree program.

The degree, which saw some lows in popularity in the post-dot-com-bust era, has made a rather dramatic comeback on the popularity charts.

According to a study on information technology degrees and enrollment trends conducted by the Computing Research Association, total enrollment among U.S. computer science undergraduates increased 10 percent in 2009-10*. And that's not all. This was the third straight year that an increase in enrollments in computer science degree programs was registered.
